Emmanuel Adebayor's proposed move to La Liga giants Barcelona has taken yet another twist as this long, drawn out transfer saga shows no sign of settling.
Reports in Spain today are suggesting the deal to take Adebayor to the Nou Camp is dependant on Samuel Eto'o moving on, who is having a hard time moving on due to his own excessive wage demands. He currently earns a mammoth £140,000 a week, therefore seeming likely that the golden goose at Stamford Bridge will be the only club able to match that figure.
Arsenal are refusing to let Adebayor leave without signing a replacement first, and with Barcelona unable to fund the transfer until Eto'o moves on, the deal is looking more and more likely to stall. Eto'o himself has never been in a rush to move, confessing he will bide his time during the summer to think of his next move and will subsequently make a decision when he arrives back from his holiday.
The thought of Adebayor still remaining at Arsenal repulses me, after all the man has said and done. His whole attitude to the situation is beyond words, his agent has been a joke with his comments in recent days too. Looks like I will have to continue to wait before I can write with jubilation about Adebayor finally leaving Arsenal. I can only hope Wenger wraps up a replacement quickly so it an all come to an end.
With Martins openly confessing his dream to play for Arsenal yesterday, and with Santa Cruz open to a move elsewhere, watch this space.

I totally agree with you; I'd hate to see him at Arsenal next season but I don't want Martins either.I'd be happy with Santa Cruz though.
he has one good season i thinks he deserves 100k a week lets get rid of him we do not need him if we get martins or santa cruz let him go
ayslegacy, i agree mate santa cruz is exactly what the arsenal attack is missing and would be a great signing.
yes santa cruz is a great player a goal poacher
martins is wat we want and he wiil just do right with his speed and great finish
martins would only 10-15 goals in the prem santa cruz wouldbscore more
