It wasn’t Cesc we missed, it was Flamini
Or at least, it was his equivalent.
Fulham 1 (Hangeland 21) Arsenal 0
Premiership
That was painful to watch. We normally keep our transfer business quiet, but it says something that Wenger had admitted we need a central midfielder, and even the normally quiet Cesc is agreeing. Everyone knows it, and if they didn’t, they knew on their [...]

Wenger traveled to Geneva to watch Swiss midfielder from close up
By 1970’s Gooner
Arsene Wenger’s interest in signing another midfielder has been well documented and so has his desire to sign Turkish origin Swiss midfielder Gokhan Inler.
His agent Dino Lambertini had already said only three weeks ago that he was travelling to London to begin talks with Arsene Wenger on Inler’s possible transfer to Arsenal.

Fulham 1 Arsenal 0: For the love of god, please sign a midfielder
THAT was sobering, wasn’t it?
We may as well start with the goal. While I don’t buy into the forensic psychoanalysis that seems to accompany every William Gallas cock-up, there can be no excuses for his feeble attempt to track Brede Hangeland.
You’ll see more commitment in a Vegas wedding chapel and it was galling to concede [...]

I just cant get my head around it!..............
I just cant understand the logic of sending out Johan Djourou on loan. The player has a very bright future and I want it to be in an Arsenal shirt. He must feel disillusioned enough as it is. In the games previous to yesterday he was one of better players for Arsenal. It must be hard for him to do well and then be instantly replaced as soon as Toure or Gallas is fit.Maybe that's why Arsenal can be complacent at times. There is no competition for places, certain players know that they will be p...

Fulham 1-0 Arsenal - 23/08/08 - (Premier League)
Oh dear, oh dear.
What an awful display. There’s no getting away from it, we were terrible. It was waiting to happen really. We’d seen it against Twente and West Brom but this was really bad.
There’s not really much you can say about the game to be honest. We did nothing but gave the ball away, [...]

Alonso would be perfect for Arsenal

The Demise Of Arsenal Football Club?
A bit extreme? Maybe. Then again maybe not.
People will accuse me of jumping on the bandwagon after defeat at Fulham yesterday but since the summer there has been a general unrest amongst Arsenal fans.
But if anything I should have written this years ago. At least then it would have been more prophetic.
We lose experienced Premier [...]

Cesc Makes Me Forget About Fulham...Well, Almost
Morning all, or afternoon or whatever it is where you are. Yesterday was a miserable day for us. I'm sure you read my rant about Captain Gallas, and that about summed up my feelings for the day. Gallas shouldn't be playing at all and Eboue shouldn't have to play central midfield. Robin van Persie seems to have forgotten how to score and overall the whole thing was bloody awful. But today something made me smile, and who else could it be but Cesc Fabregas.Cesc gave an interview to The Gua...
